Hitbot Establish “AI Research Intelligent Body” Innovation Consortium with Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology

On January 29th, the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology”) and Huiling-tech (Shenzhen) Robotic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hitbot“) held an unveiling ceremony for the “AI Research Intelligent Body Innovation Consortium” (hereinafter referred to as the “Innovation Consortium”). Yu Xuefeng, Director of the Research Department of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Bi Yalei, Director of the Industrial Development Center, Tian Jun, CEO of Hitbot, and Liu Ding, Business Director, jointly unveiled the consortium. Teams from both sides and guests witnessed this important moment of collaborative innovation between scientific research and industry.

In his speech, Yu Xuefeng stated that the country is currently focusing on the field of AI for Science, and AI-driven scientific research has become a key force in reshaping the paradigm of basic research. As a strategic science and technology platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology has accumulated a profound scientific research foundation in the interdisciplinary integration of AI with materials science, chemistry, and other disciplines. This cooperation with Hitbot aims to connect the “research needs—technology development—scenario implementation” chain, allowing automation and AI technologies to truly solve research pain points and improve the efficiency of scientific research innovation.

Tian Jun introduced Hitbot as a national-level specialized and innovative “Little Giant” enterprise. With “embodied intelligent operating system + robotic arm” as its core, it has been deeply involved in the automation field for over a decade, building an embodied intelligent industrial foundation covering new retail, life sciences, and 3C manufacturing. It has promoted the large-scale implementation of automation in scenarios such as tea beverage and laboratory automation, serving thousands of clients worldwide. Tian Jun emphasized that Hitbot’s technology transfer capabilities are highly compatible with the research resources of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology (SIAT), and he looks forward to using the consortium as a platform to deeply participate in major national projects, promoting the implementation of research automation technology and the transformation of research paradigms.

This collaboration will integrate SIAT’s advantages in basic research, research scenarios, and multidisciplinary integration with Hitbot’s strengths in robotic arm hardware, intelligent system R&D, and industry implementation. The joint development of an AI research agent adapted to research scenarios will develop the agent’s basic functions and hardware-software co-operation technologies to solve key tasks such as long-term observation and high-precision operation.

Both parties will respond to the trend of “AI industrialization and industrial AIization”, promote the large-scale application of scientific research automation technology in materials research and development, biomedicine and other fields, benefit universities, research institutes and enterprise R&D centers, accelerate the localization of scientific research automation technology, help the scientific research field to leap from “human-driven” to “intelligent-driven”, and inject new momentum into national basic research and industrial innovation.
